Read the amazing real-life stories of Jim LaBove growing up in the salt marshes of Southeast Texas.
I’m Jim LaBove, an author and illustrator from Sabine Pass, Texas. Growing up in the salt marshes of bayou Cajun country gave me a unique outlook on a side of Cajun life most folks may have never known. Now, I’m happy to share my heritage and history with you.
Cotton’s Seafood began as a seafood company owned by Cotton LaBove in the 1950’s, based out of the remote, marshy Sabine Pass, Texas. Jim LaBove has since written a series of books named after the company, centered memories and authentic recipes he picked up as a bayou Cajun.
Need a perfect piece of wall art for your home or beach cabin? We’re proud to offer a selection of Jim’s signed field sketches as matted prints, ready for framing. Digital scans of the illustrations are imprinted on archival-quality 140-pound watercolor paper through a giclée ink transfer, all done in-house by the Cotton’s Seafood team. We package the prints in acid-free cellophane wraps with a sturdy backer board and your choice of mat color. A unique glimpse into mid-century bayou Cajun life!
